The El Segundo Volunteer Patrol (ESVP) program is made up of dedicated men and women who share their diversity of skills, abilities, education and life experiences with the El Segundo Police Department and our community. We believe most effective law enforcement efforts are collaborative partnerships between police and community members. Our volunteers perform a wide variety of duties throughout the department, enabling our paid personnel to concentrate on specialized tasks and better manage their workflow.

 Minimum Qualifications:

• 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license
• Good driving record
• Pass a background check
• Provide 4 hours of service a week
• Support and follow El Segundo Police Department guidelines
